  1. My dad is over 70 years old and he’s been a passionate woodworker for more than 30 years. His jigsaw started to malfunction recently and I’d like to get him a new one as a surprise, so I can’t just go and ask him which saw to buy him. Could someone tell me which jigsaw is good for an elder person?

  2. Whooooah! Did I understand well? :O The SKIL 4495-02 can change the cutting direction on the fly, like while it’s cutting throgh the wood? I apologize for my beginner’s vocabulary, but reading about woodworking and chopping some wood pieces here and there is still a whole new galaxy of lessons that need to be learned for me.

  3. Okay, so I currently don’t have much money, but I really need a nice jigsaw, obviously, an affordable one. Since I don’t have much money, I know that I will have to ‘let go’ of some of the nicer features of these saws, and I was, therefore, wondering whether you can recommend me some cheaper ‘compensatory’ tools that would sort of like substitute the good features of a jigsaw, like the precise cutting or the change of speed… I hope this is somehow possible.

  4. Does any of these saws allow an upgrade? I’d like to buy something that will be able to transform into a better tool the better a woodwoorker I become.
